The game has a whole new region to explore, all new 3-D game mechanics and a new set of gen 6 Pokemon to collect as well as all our old favourites too.
The new starters are: Chespin, a cute little rodent, grass type starter who is said to have a part dark final evolution (a bit like Shiftry?),
Fennekin, a fire fox type Pokemon, rumored to have a part-psychic final evolution, again nothing confirmed.
Finally there's Froakie, a water frog type Pokemon who is said to have a part fighting final evolution making each starter super effective against is weakness, eg psychic beats fighting and fighting beats dark and dark beats psychic. Which is a nice touch.
